Autism
Programs, evaluations and other services, including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), are available for children with autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD), and their families. Serving children and families, who reside in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and Queens.
A comprehensive program serving children with autism between 18 months and 7 years of age:
- Addresses each child's individual learning style
- Utilizes the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Provides instruction linked to developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Promotes play and social skills
- Uses an interdisciplinary team approach
- Provides one on one direct teaching, dyad, and group instruction
- Collaborates with parents of children with autism
- Center based classroom instruction:
EI (18 months-3) home and center-based options
CPSE (3-5) full day and half day classes
CSE (5-7) full day classes
- In-home ABA service provide to children
- Licensed therapists provide related services-speech/language, physical therapy, occupational therapy, parent education and counseling
- Music therapy, adaptive physical education, computer session
