Social Workers help families develop home programs for specific issues. Serving children and families, who reside in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and Queens.
Social Workers help families develop home programs focusing on specific issues, such as sleeping, eating, and behavior. Parent education and counseling services are available for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Support groups provide an opportunity for families to meet with a leader from the Family Service Department regularly, to share information and concerns pertaining to raising a child with special needs.
Through Parent Training Programs, parents become familiarized with the unique skills and knowledge needed to address behavior management strategies including, sibling issues, special education process, ADHD, and PDD/Autism.
