Early Childhood Direction Center
The Nassau Early Childhood Direction Center (ECDC) offers special education information and options to parents and professionals who are concerned about a Nassau County child, from birth to five (5) years, with or at risk of learning disabilities. ECDC services are confidential and free of charge for Nassau county preschool special education services.

Staff also provides:
- Ongoing telephone family support until a child with a learning disability is eligible for kindergarten
- Parent Education Training program for parents of children with learning disabilities transitioning from Early Intervention programs (EI) to the preschool system (CPSE) and from preschool to kindergarten (CSE)
- Assistance in Spanish
- Technical assistance
