Program Evaluations Studies Research
To ensure that childhood development programs and services are effective and respond to the changing needs of participants, VCLC’s surveys are distributed to and collected from users of programs and services.
Parents of children in the school also receive surveys at the end of each school year. Staff members are periodically asked to fill out surveys pertaining to changes in special education services to children and to provide support for their families. Other users fill out questionnaires at the end of special programs, training seminars, LIL EASY performances, etc.
The results of these surveys and questionnaires are subjected to computer statistical analyses. As a result, special education programs are modified, new ones are developed, and the services to children and staff are monitored for success. These processes also become a part of staff development and to provide help for teachers of young children.
